Each piece becomes an adventure; a leap of faith into creation, a discovery of fixed boundaries as well as an invitation to dared challenge them.
As a child, looking up through the ancient stained-glass windows of French cathedrals, the artist was struck by the magic of this marvelous medium. It was not just the sumptuous colors but also the combination of enduring strength and utter fragility of the glass that captured her imagination.
What inspires her work is the idea of salvaging bits of rejected glass, then weaving them together to created a new "living universe". Through successive firings, colors and textures are transformed into unique artwork. Each piece has a unique story.
What may have seemed a mistake at first always reveals a new perception of this medium.
